The Jozi Digital Ambassador’s programme utilises students from the University of Johannesburg to mentor and support our micro enterprises.
These student mentors support, and guide their assigned Ambassadors by motivating them to reach their weekly goals and monitoring their performance. Their physical and virtual mentoring guarantees that JDA’s are aware of what is expected of them, that they understand the concept of contract work and to assist them with problem solving which is essential to becoming a micro enterprise.
We have already trained and utilised 1,000+ UJ Mentors and would like to thank them for their support in bridging the digital divide. The programme has also enabled them to fund part of their studies by earning extra income and has boosted their management and leadership skills.
